As part of the ongoing training workshops organized by the Ministry of Labour in coordination with Al Buraimi Governorate, the Buraimi Oasis Hall at the Office of the Governor of Al Buraimi is hosting the “Leadership Toolkit for Supervisory Positions in the Ejada Individual Performance System” workshop over two days, Sunday and Monday, 19–20 October. This workshop marks an important step toward empowering supervisory leaders in government sector institutions in Al Buraimi Governorate to effectively implement the Ejada Individual Performance System, contributing to enhanced performance efficiency and promoting a culture of achievement within the government work environment. The workshop targets Their Excellencies the Walis of Al Buraimi Governorate and their deputies, as well as directors-general of government institutions in the governorate. Its aim is to strengthen their understanding of the concepts of the Ejada system, the mechanism for developing individual plans, and performance evaluation based on clear and well-defined indicators aligned with institutional goals and the national vision.
The workshop covers several key topics, most notably the concept of the Ejada Individual Performance Measurement System and the rationale behind its implementation as one of the key enablers of Oman Vision 2040. It also reviews the mechanism for activating the achievement-based performance evaluation system and the role of motivation in creating an effective work environment that contributes to improving the quality of provided services. In addition, the workshop explores the levels of planning for drafting objectives within the individual plan—starting with aligning individual goals with institutional goals, followed by formulating measurable and assessable performance indicators, and concluding with identifying initiatives and individual responsibilities that ensure achieving the desired results within a defined timeframe.
The workshop also highlights the benefits of the individual performance system, including clearer roles and responsibilities, improved supervisory efficiency, and enhanced fairness and transparency in performance evaluation. This, in turn, contributes to the development of human resources in the government sector and the achievement of sustainable institutional excellence. Organizing this workshop comes as part of Al Buraimi Governorate’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of supervisory leaders and equip them with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively apply the Ejada system, in alignment with the principle of performance-based results, accountability, and promoting a culture of quality within the state’s administrative apparatus.
