The “Irada” initiative, in its third edition, continues its training activities supervised by the Municipal Council of Al Buraimi Governorate with support from the governorate. The initiative includes ten training workshops held over seven weeks, in cooperation with the Al Buraimi branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Social Development Department in the governorate, and Al Buraimi Institute for Administrative Training, in addition to the participation of Al Buraimi University College and the University of Buraimi. The initiative aims to train and empower job seekers by equipping them with practical skills and professional knowledge that enhance their readiness for the labor market. The training workshops cover office management, financial accounting and bookkeeping, human resources development, sustainable marketing, comprehensive computer fundamentals, and workshops on résumé writing, job interviews, and personal skills development. They also include workshops on personal branding through LinkedIn and presentation and public-speaking skills. Ms. Maryam bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Yazidiyah, a member of the Municipal Council of Al Buraimi Governorate and supervisor of the “Irada” initiative, stated that the initiative builds on the successes achieved in previous editions. She affirmed that the third phase was designed to be more comprehensive in terms of the diversity of training fields and the integration of targeted skills. She added that the council’s supervision reflects its commitment to supporting community and development efforts and strengthening partnerships with educational and training institutions and the private sector—contributing to empowering national talent and preparing Omani youth for the labor market with competence and excellence.
