Winter Buraimi 2026 continues in Al Buraimi Governorate under the slogan “Winter with Us,” offering a distinctive winter atmosphere marked by active tourism and economic movement. The events feature a diverse range of cultural, entertainment, and sports activities that attract visitors from within the governorate and beyond, reinforcing Al Buraimi’s position as a comprehensive winter destination.As part of the Winter Buraimi program, the Al Buraimi Lights Festival launched on the evening of January 8 and will continue until January 20. The festival delivers an innovative visual experience that highlights the governorate’s historical and urban landmarks through modern creative approaches. Using light shows and projection mapping, several prominent sites have been transformed into interactive platforms that reflect the cultural identity of the place in a contemporary spirit.The festival’s Performances are distributed across four main landmarks, in addition to accompanying activities at Buraimi Oasis Square. These include the “Insight Flash” lighting exhibition, an open-air stage for artistic performances and folk groups, musical concerts, dedicated spaces for home-based businesses, electric and electronic games, face painting, and a variety of food and beverage outlets—creating a comprehensive experience suitable for all age groups.Ismail bin Hamad Al Balushi, Director of the company implementing the light shows, explained that the Al Buraimi Lights Festival is the result of integrated artistic and technical work utilizing the latest lighting and projection technologies. It is built on a vision to showcase historical landmarks in a modern style and deliver a visual experience aligned with audience expectations. He expressed his appreciation to His Excellency the Governor of Al Buraimi for his trust in youth, continuous support, and for providing opportunities that enable creativity and the delivery of high-quality experiences that present the governorate’s identity in innovative ways.Abdullah bin Salem Al Rashidi, one of the attendees of Winter Buraimi events, praised the wide variety of activities and the excellent organization of the venues, noting that the program is comprehensive and suitable for all family members. He highlighted the clear effort in planning and execution, as well as the engaging cultural and entertainment atmosphere. He also pointed out that free entry and access to all activities contributed to increased attendance and provided visitors with an enjoyable and well-rounded experience.
Meanwhile, Subaih bin Salem Al Kaabi, owner of a small business specializing in specialty coffee, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to small and medium enterprises to participate and showcase their products during Winter Buraimi. He emphasized that such initiatives help promote local products, reach a wider audience, boost sales activity, and build direct relationships with customers in a supportive and well-organized environment for entrepreneurs.
The Winter Buraimi events were launched following early preparations aimed at positioning the governorate as an attractive destination during the winter season. The program is characterized by diversity and inclusiveness, with a clear focus on current activities held at Al Buraimi Park and the Al Buraimi Lights Festival, which have become key attractions for visitors. The governorate is also preparing to host the Mahdha Car Championship as part of the upcoming Winter Buraimi program.
